Mary Lou Grace Robison

Mary Lou Grace’s painting reveals the churning, vibrating and dynamic reality that lies just under the stillness and solidity of everyday objects. Apropos of that ‘surface below the surface,’ her work often looks like underpainting, where only small moments break through the ephemeral barrier into the real world- sparks igniting and dying as small bits of “reality” coming up from the ghost world beneath and pulling the viewer deeper back through the veil and into the gentle sway of universal motion.
